I am officially back on campus at the University of Texas, and thanks to my ever so wonderful schedule planning I am able to tune in to Regis and Kelly every morning from 9-10. Besides Wednesdays.
I've never liked Wednesdays.
Last semester my Wednesdays lasted till 6pm. Way longer of a day than I appreciated.
Anyways! They kept showing a picture of Kelly at her prom which can mostly be summed up by puffy sleeves and even more puffier hair. And despite the volume of her hair (which, mind you, was close to having it's own area code), she mentioned that she was so upset that night because, believe it or not, her hair was flat. Flat.
I can't even imagine. I wish I could find a picture of it so that you can understand why I am so completely baffled.
But it got me thinking. Thinking about those fantastically wrong hairstyles my parents sported. And even worse, the hair cuts they enforced on my siblings and my innocent, helpless heads.
Check out that mighty hot perm my mum's got. Her pet poodle, you know - the one that she grooms to look like her - had just jumped off the dock the second before this picture was captured.
Just a guess.
This poor, poor child. It's a... mullet? A... bowl cut? A... helmet lookin' bob?
A bowl-cut-mullet??
It's just bad. That's what it is.
Beautiful mum. Fabulous smile. Precious baby.
Now the hair? Can anyone explain this?
Anyone?
Pobrecito. He wasn't even old enough to understand what was happening to him.
Can this be considered abuse?
And did the rollers actually do anything to that short of hair?
Oh goodness gracious. The rollers worked on this child.
I don't remember her hair ever being this color though...
Oh wait, I wasn't born yet. Must have been a phase. A wicked groovy phase.
I have a theory.
Now, this theory may not apply to all women out there, however in this case it is applies. And this is the only case I have, and therefore my theory is now a law in my mind.
Ready for it?
Perms and bangs to not mix. Very, very bad idea.
(Note: If you realize this too late and the damage is already done, please don't take it out on your children.)
This just makes me laugh. Ha ha ha.
His concerned, confused look is just too darn cute.
In fact, this face is still very common for him. Only it's no longer cute.
I just keeding :)
